Vase
Joh. Lötz Witwe was well-known for producing high-quality ceramics and glassware in Vienna from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century. Its exquisite works reflect ornamental designs of Vienna Secession artists including Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser. This metallic, iridescent glass vase is elegantly decorated with branch-like spirals that sprout from the base. The blotchy pattern on the surface was created by rolling silver particles into the vessel while still hot.
