Jutta Sika worked with her teacher Koloman Moser to design various decors and articles of daily use. For this coffee and tea service, Moser and Sika were each responsible for the form and the decoration. It was then produced by the manufacturer Josef Böck. The collaboration between artists of different specialties is in keeping with Gesamtkunstwerk, or universal work of art, the principle of the Vienna Workshop. Sika went on to design various items including postcards and stage costumes, and her works featured in the 1908 and 1909 Kunstschau.
