Flower Pot
Bertold Löffler, a painter and graphic designer, established the ceramics workshop Wiener Keramik with Michael Powolny in 1906. The company shared aesthetic ideals with the Vienna Workshop and collaborated with them. Although they were taken over by Gmundner Keramik because of financial difficulties in 1913, the workshop was continued under the name Vereinigte Wiener und Gmundner Keramik. This flower pot was produced after the merger of the two manufacturers. The geometrical shape and the nature-inspired decorations exemplify their aesthetics influenced by the Vienna Secession.
