After leaving the Vienna Workshop, Koloman Moser focused on painting, especially landscapes. In 1913, he met Ferdinand Hodler, the Swiss Symbolist painter, in Geneva. Hodler’s simple composition and vivid colors that convey the artist’s thoughts and emotions inspired Moser’s works.
